About North Ridge Books
North Ridge Books was founded in 1986 by William A. Gordon, originally to publish a volume of literary quotations. Since then, the company has grown to sell all four of Mr. Gordon's books, Hollywood-related books and CDs released by other publishers, and specialized databases. Our book titles include:
The Ultimate Hollywood Tour Book 1001 Tips for Writers
THE ULTIMATE HOLLYWOOD
TOUR BOOK
ISBN 978-0937813-08-9, $16.95
Now in its fourth edition, this guide is our most popular title. The book helps sightseers and armchair travelers find not only Los Angeles' highly-publicized sites, but dozens of hidden attractions where entertainment history was made. The book, which is updated annually, has been the subject of more than 50 newspaper and magazine reviews and feature stores. A Japanese language edition is published by Shogakukan.
1001 TIPS FOR WRITERS
This book is available as both a trade paperback original and an e-book. The title is self-explanatory. The book presents writing and publishing wisdom from a wide variety of books, magazines, newspapers, trade journals, speeches, and original gems from notable writers.

FOUR DEAD IN OHIO: WAS
THERE A CONSPIRACY AT KENT STATE?
ISBN 0-937813-05-2, $15.95
Based on almost two decades of exhaustive investigative study, this book is the most authoritative account of the May 4, 1970 killings at Kent State University. Choice Magazine called the book "as entertaining as the best detective fiction and as analytical and well documented as the best journalism or scholarship." The North Ridge edition is an expanded edition of the book, originally published by Prometheus Books. It has been used at eight universities.
SHOT ON THIS SITE: A
TRAVELER'S GUIDE TO THE PLACES AND LOCATIONS USED TO FILM FAMOUS MOVIES AND
TELEVISION SHOWS
ISBN 0-8065-1647-X, $15.95
The Chicago Tribune felt "there's enough material here to keep even the most jaded movie and trivia buffs occupied for hours." "Actually," the Atlanta Constitution demurred, "you don't even have to be a film buff to get a kick out of leafing through the entries." "This welcome book," opined the Los Angeles Times, "gives specifics about where some 900 movies and 90 TV shows were filmed." The book is published by Kensington Books, and available through North Ridge Books.
